celebrating the arrival of spring

A beautiful show of floral artworks. We have selected work from talented twist artists and designers based on their interpretation of all things floral. From the literal and pure photographs of Juliette Foy's to the urban and more abstract translations of Miranda Donovan's and the traditional portrayal of pretty spring flowers by Alexis Casdagli - the result is an eclectic show. Other artists include Andrea Byrne, Claire Coles, Cathy Miles, Allison Wiffen, Justin Gilvray, Susan Bradley, Vivien Rothwell, Dan Bennet, Paul Tecklenberg, Sian Matthews, Sarah Grove and Adam Aaronson.

The Art of Outdoor Living,
April 2006

In a garden setting behind our gallery, we have collaborated with Gaze Burvill to create an exquisite show of furniture and art - beautiful details for any outdoor setting. The exhibition featues a large selection of Gaze Burvill's fine furniture range and sculpture by established artists working in materials such as; glass, wood, stone, metal and water. Sculptors include: Neil Wilkin, Susan Bradley, Brian Usher, Christine Ann Richards, Dominique Bivar Segurado, Alison Rayner, Andrew Ewing, Clare Bigger and Jean Jenkins.

twist brings together the work of 5 artists concerned with the composition oand appearance of the surface. Texture, layering, paints and varnishes are just some of the instruments used by each of these abstract artists to create and manipulate their surface songs.

We are delighted to present Outlooks, a contemporary show by six young talented twist artists. Each selected artist has produced a body of work based on his or her outlook of urban or rural settings. The resulting show is a diverse mix of paintings and photographs from the ultra tranquil and contemplative work by Rebecca Mclynn to the more edgy and distinctly urabn atmosphere of Tim Blake's 'barcode' pieces with his expertly painted portraits and local London landscapes.

London Art Fair 2004

In January we exhibited for the first time at the world renowned London Art Fair at the Business Design Centre, Islington. Along with regular twist artists we exhibited work by new artists including; Deborah Nickolls, Denise Stonebridge, Claire Coles and Ching-Wen Kuo. Also showing were pieces by Paul Tecklenberg, Patrick Shanahan, glass artists Brian Usher and Sam Sweet, bronze artist Petrina Stroud and metalworker Ane Christensen.

The piece shown here is by Trudy Willmott, just one piece of a beautiful collection on show at the Fair.

This Autumn we exhibited at a brand new show Urban Interiors, at the Commonwealth Institute in Kensington. Billed as the event for interior inspiration, we showed a range of our artists suitable for urban living. Artists include; Edd Pearman, Dominic Pote, Amy Cushing, Rothes Warley, Louise Lawton, Fleur Patrick and Ted Haddon. We also exhibited work by young up-coming designers makers such as: Sam Sweet, Hanne Rysgaard, Neil Wilkin, Sophie Lowe, bi-me and Ingrid Phillips. We exhibited again at this year's Affordable Art Fair, Autumn Collection. Among the artists that we showed were last year's favourites Rebecca Mclynn, Ted Haddon, photographer Max Malandrino and glass artist Amy Cushing. As well, we introduced new talented artists including a recent fine art graduate from Wimbledon College of Art, Trudy Willmott and Patrick Shanahan, an established photographer of over 20 years. Alongside the art we also displayed work from exciting designer makers, including: Rachel Ducker, Kiya Nancarrow, Hanne Rysgaard, Ingrid Phillips and Liam Flynn.
