Tim Hall is a London based international fine art photographer
who made his name taking stylised black and white portraits in South
East Asia. Tim's prints are exhibited in the print room at The Photographer's
Gallery and always at London's major art fairs.
Tim's photography has been the focus of several coffee table-style
books. They include "Cambodia - A Portrait", Laos - A
Portrait", "Back to Mandalay",( Myanmar) "The
Modern Day Silk Road"(China) and "Return to the Heart
of the Dragon".(Hong Kong) His most recent addition being "Bali
- Paradise Rediscovered."
Tim's Pilgrimage series from India, taken in 2002 has been the
focus of three international solo exhibitions in Hong Kong, and
London. The images focus on the people and surroundings of Varanasi.
Following this Tim travelled to Morocco capturing dramatic landscapes,
the resulting Oasis collection was on show at The General Trading
Company in 2003.
His most recent Metropolis series which includes urban landscapes
from London , New York and Hong Kong has received great critical
acclaim and several awards in the UK. He has a bachelor of arts
degree in History of Art from Manchester University.
