Juliette
Foy's enigmatic white painted still-lifes of fruit and everyday objects,
are charged with spirituality and quiet contemplation. The self-imposed
restrictions of her modest compositions capture the essence of simple
objects and the beauty of light on form. Her subtle white on white
still-lifes are immensely rewarding not only for the small shifts
in proportion and placement but for the tension of the spaces between
objects.
Juliette Foy's photographs are hand printed on silver gelatin fibre-based
archival paper and each image is from an edition of nine.
Juliette Foy trained as a Photographer at Kingston University. Juliette
is an Associate member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers.
