Fleur finished her education at the Royal College of Art this summer where
she gained an MA in Painting. Her work originates from film imagery and
in the same way that a film does, turns reality into a set or a stage. The
paintings are produced by the building up of layers, mimicking the developing
process of a photographic print. Fleurs painterly, layering process
has the reverse effect of bleaching a photograph yet has the same effect
of striping down the components and deconstructing the image. Since graduating
Fleur has been concentrating on producing a new body of work and is participating
in various exhibitions including Vertigo, London, The Pump House, London
and the Affordable Art Fair with twist in the Spring. |
